Howard’s End

“Regrettably there comes a time when everyone feels that they have done enough for an organisation and the time has come to take a breather.  After no less than 55 years of service to Amateur Football, and the L & C in particular, our Secretary John Howard has reached that point.  To attempt to list what John has meant to this League would fill a book but suffice it to say that he has been an absolute rock and we all owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude.  He is planning to complete the Centenary booklet about the League (no small task) and of course he is a Vice-President too so contact will remain. We wish him well in his retirement which will allow him more hours to spend with his wife and family and we thank him for a job extremely well done. Such people are rare indeed”.
