2. Fixtures – for fixture queries and
amendments please include Harry Jack, Keith Marsden and Phil Heaps, as this
will speed up handling of the issue. I myself have to pass all the queries onto
the fixture team.
3. Could I remind clubs who have not
responded as yet on continuing their league membership, that there is a
requirement to respond by 30th April, in the rule book.
1. The continued
co-operation of all concerned is vital to allow the congested fixture programme
to complete. Please identify any opportunities to bring matches forward as this
will help ease the backlog.
2. The clubs and
referees involved in the Respect pilot in Division 2 have provided feedback to
the league and Cheshire FA, to be raised nationally in London, 21st April.
Overall it is felt that the 2nd division matches have been conducted in a
better behaved manner, and subsequently have been more enjoyable. Many learning
points have also been identified.
3. The £10,000
grant funding notified to clubs last November has been over subscribed and is
now closed.
4. A reminder to
clubs and committee members who have not yet provided profiles for inclusion in
the Centenary Booklet to John Howard, please do as soon as possible.
1. Further to my email regarding Eagle FC
second team manager, Eagle FC would also consider any ready made teams who want
to enter the League and become a 2nd team if any clubs know of any teams who
are in that position.
2. Beechfield United play at Salford Sports
Village, and often have only one team at home. They can accommodate two matches
if one kicks off at 1pm.
Obviously, if you have a team playing at
home and it is likely to be rained off, then the fixture can be switched, with
sufficient notice to Keith Long.
If you see that Beechfield have only one
fixture and you need a pitch, please contact Keith, as he may be able to help.
3. Harry Jack is on holiday 16th to 25th
April. Please liaise with Keith Marsden regarding fixtures in Harry's absence.

is on holiday, in his absence please Contact Keith Trelfa.
5. Please review fixtures urgently, as the
backlog has been made even worse by recent postponements.
1. This week sees
the start of night fixtures for which the kick off time is 6:00 pm. Results are
to be phoned in within half an hour of the end of the match, to the normal
results service number.
2. To all clubs -
a message from Keith Marsden, chairman - There are far too many incomplete
match cards being returned and we shall start fining clubs unless things
improve rapidly - the team names, Division or Cup, and date must be shown. Also surnames and forenames of all players,
substitutes, and the team manager must be clearly printed.
3. Please
continue to review your fixtures carefully, to get the
backlog of fixtures cleared as soon as possible, your continued co-operation
with the league is much appreciated.
