Disciplinary Issues

Point of Contact: Discipline Secretary - John MELIA
OVERVIEW - Clubs should understand that match discipline is NOT in the League’s jurisdiction so we cannot take any action until the relevant county FA has dealt with any reported issues, and then, we are bound by the rules regarding ‘double jeopardy’, punishing a club for the same offence twice.
Clubs should direct all discipline-related queries to their county FA in the first instance.
What do we do regarding any questions about player suspensions?
Match discipline does not come under the jurisdiction of the League, so all enquiries should be directed to your parent county FA. Information can be found on the Club Portal.
What do we do if our club is suspended by the FA?
You should contact your parent county FA directly IMMEDIATELY and resolve the issue.
Any club unable to play a league fixture of cup tie due to a club suspension will be charged with Failure to Fulfil, subject to any exceptional circumstances.
The League monitors club suspensions and discipline, and where possible, will contact a club to ensure that they are aware and able to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
How do we pay any fines levied by the League?
All payments should be made from your Club’s bank account, NOT a personal account.
The monies should be paid within FOURTEEN DAYS to the League’s bank account, details below:
Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League
Lloyds Bank, sort-code 30-90-90, account number 31688068, quoting your club’s name with the payment
What should we do if we are contacted by the League regarding club discipline?
The League has a number of disciplinary policies and monitoring in place to enable us to intervene at an early stage and resolve issues before they escalate.
Clubs should respond within SEVEN DAYS or face sanction for not dealing with league correspondence.
Teams receiving two dismissals (excluding S7 offences) in a fixture will have Assistant Referees appointed to at least one subsequent fixture, at the club’s expense.
Teams being reported for misconduct for E.20 and E.21 offences will have Assistant Referees appointed to at least one subsequent fixture. The League will cover the match fees at the time, but they will be clawed back from the club should the charge be Proven.
Any player, manager of club official receiving a suspension of SIX games or more, or accumulating SEVEN games over TWO years, will have their league registration or participation in the League SUSPENDED until they attend a League Disciplinary Panel and are cleared to resume. Such applications MUST be supported by their club.
