How do we transfer a player from another L&C club?

 

This process is subject to Football Association regulations. Before approaching a player or instigating a transfer, SEVEN DAYS' Notice of Approach should be sent to the Secretary of the club for whom the player is currently registered to play Saturday Football confirming your intention to speak with them to secure their registration.

 

You MUST NOT contact the player until the EIGHTH day after the date of the Notice of Approach. At this stage you may complete the League's Transfer Form and send to the Registration Secretary.

 

A Transfer Fee of £10 is payable to the League before a transfer can be actioned.

 

Clubs should note that the player MUST have discharged all their financial and other obligations to their previous club before they will be cleared to play in the L&C with your team.

 

Can we register a player on the day of a fixture?

 

Yes, you can, but you must complete a Player Registration Form BEFORE kick-off which MUST be signed by an official from your opponents.

Player Registration Forms can be downloaded from the L&C website.

 

The number of such registrations us unlimited up to 1st OCTOBER each year and then limited to TWO per game until the end of the Player Registration window on 31st March each year.

 

Can players dual register with clubs outside the L&C?

 

Yes, they can, and free movement is allowed between teams playing BELOW Step 6 (Manchester League, Cheshire League, etc) with the exception of teams playing in our L&C Development Section, where a maximum of TWO players are permitted to 'step down' who have played at the higher level in the last fourteen days.

 

Any player dual registered with a team playing at Step 6 (NWCFL) or above MUST NOT have played at that level for TWENTY-ONE clear days before playing in the L&C.
