L&C Divisional Structure for 2025-26 season

Following the release of the draft structure on 1st July, we have been assessing further the placing of teams, listening to feedback from clubs, looking at pre-season form and reviewing the whole structure following the loss of teams and late applications. The biggest question we faced did not come to pass as Flixton have opted to sit the season out and prepare a bid to join the North West Counties League directly for 2026-27 season, and we wish them well. In total, we have worked through thirteen versions, and we can now release the 'final' version. 'Final' may not yet mean final as we have received two late applications from well-established clubs, one of which is reflected in the structure, with the other yet to be included, so there is likely to be one further tweak. It looks likely that we will have seventy-two teams and fifty-one clubs in league membership for the new season, and an odd number in each division which allows us flexibility for 'Free Saturday' requests from clubs.

Once all clubs are affiliated, the new season will be set up in FA Full-Time, with the fixtures up to the Winter break to follow shortly afterwards.
