There was a flood of goals to match the torrential rain conditions on yet another inclement weekend in the L&C which saw arguably the shock of the L&C season.
In the Keith Marsden Cup, three games were completed which included an almighty upset as Santos u23’s – midtable in Division B – shocked Division Three Stoconians 3-2 to record a famous win.
Elsewhere, Fitton Hill All-Stars triumphed at Spurley Hey by the odd goal in five. There were five goals in the other game, but all scored by Village Manchester Reserves who thumped Moston Brook Fourths 5-0.
The Premier Division was limited to two games and they both ended locked at 1-1 between Boothstown and Bedians and Manchester South End and Trafford United respectively.
Goals flowed more freely in Division One as leaders Oldham Hulmeians increased their advantage at the top to six points over non-playing East Manchester Galaxy and ended AFC Stockport’s recent fine run with a 6-1 win.

Stretford Paddock Ams also hit six in a 6-0 saunter over Rochdalians while Didsbury FC stay in third spot after a lively 5-3 win over Santos.
Moston Brook Reserves were the big hitters in Division Two with an emphatic 8-1 win over Konger keeping them on the heels of non-playing leaders Manchester Rovers.
Saddleworth 3D are also firmly in the mix in third place with two games in hand over the top two with an impressive 9-3 win at Old Alts Thirds.
First-half strikes from James Jackson and Zack Barton (two) gave 3D a 3-1 lead at the break and they kept up their scoring streak in the second half.
Elton Fold secured local bragging rights 5-3 at Bury Ams and the shock of the day came at Abacus Media Reserves, whose game with South Manchester was the only goalless encounter of the day.
With Division Three leaders Fitton Hill All-Stars in cup action, unbeaten Waterhead, with plenty of games in hand, had a chance to close down at their rivals as they visited Altrincham Hale Thirds.
But Hale came out with all guns blazing to score two quick goals and despite the best efforts of Waterhead they could only manage one in reply, keeping Waterhead five points from the summit.
The other game in the division was a basement battle and a 4-2 win for Trafford United Reserves at AFC Stockport Warriors saw them move ten points clear of the bottom spot.
Division A leaders AFC Salford suffered a 3-1 defeat at Rushford Park Reserves, and with plenty of games in hand, the chasing pack still have opportunities to close down AFC Salford.
The other game was a comfortable 4-0 win for Newton Vikings over AFC Stockport Titan to stay in the comfort of mid-table.
Just one game in Division B and Oldham Hulmeians Reserves took over top spot from Stoconians Reserves with a big 8-2 derby win over Saddleworth 3D Reserves.
