Moorside took the total of L&C teams through to quarter-finals of the Manchester Amateur Cup to three with a demolition 7-0 win over Heywood St James Reserves thanks to a brace apiece from Joe FAGAN and Jason EVANS, along with strikes by Ryan BEECH, Rhys ROBERTS and Liam MAHER.
Their reward in the last eight is a meeting with Heywood St James Development, and this latest victory extends their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.
Just one game completed in the RFAITS Premier Division and it was a real thriller as Trafford United hosted Rushford Park who were looking to close the gap on leaders Bollington United with games in hand.
Rushford have a 100% record in the league but United showed great attitude and ability as they took the game to the wire before Rushford edged a 4-3 win to move to three points behind Bollington with two games in hand.
Martin O'REGAN added to a George LAW brace for Trafford, but goals from Park's Hudayfa AHMED, Demell CUMBERBATCH, Bailey NAPIER and Graham PHILIPS clinched the points.
Division One managed to stage three games and Oldham Hulmeians moved to the top on goal difference from non-playing East Manchester Galaxy after bagging a point in a breathless 3-3 draw at Village Manchester.
Hulmeians cruised through the first half with a 2-0 lead before Village turned the game on its head as they levelled with two early goals in the second half.
Hulmeians regained the lead, but Village were not to be denied as they upped their game to grab a third goal for a well-deserved point.
Village's scorers were Raymond ADA, Aaron CLARKE and Nathaniel HIGGINS with Division One's leading scorer Kalem HUMPHRIES, Ryan JONES and Adam PARKINSON scoring for the visitors.
Didsbury FC have plenty of games in hand on the top group and they showed their intent with a 3-1 win over Stretford Paddock to keep nipping at the heels of the leading teams.
The other game saw Santos gain their first home victory of the season when they beat struggling Withington Wanderers 5-0.
Josh TOGG opened the scoring early on and the lead was doubled on the half hour with Paul BROWNE. Togg got a third Santos goal in the opening minute of the second half before two late strikes from Cullen CHARNOCK and Dave YATES put the result beyond doubt.

In Division Two Abacus Media Reserves defied their basement position to take a rare point off leaders Manchester Rovers as they shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller.
After last week’s big win, Old Strets Gregs were brought down to earth at Moston Brook Reserves, who ended their eight-game unbeaten run. Moston breezed out of the blocks to lead 6-2 at the break and added five to finish with an 11-4 win to move into second place.
The win also moves Moston Brook into second spot above Saddleworth 3Ds.
Old Alts thirds lifted themselves clear of the bottom two with their second victory of the season winning a close contest at Elton Fold by 2-1.
The other game in division was also close with Konger sharing the spoils with Tintwistle Athletic Reserves in a 1-1 deadlock.
Just two games in Division Three and leaders Fitton Hill All-Stars kept up their impressive form with a 5-0 win at Moston Brook Thirds to extend their lead at the top to six points.
The All-Stars scorers were Patrick CURLEY, Ben O'BRIEN (2), Lewis SMITH and Sheldon YOUNG
The other game saw Trafford United put on a good display to draw 2-2 with free-scoring Spurley Hey.
There were goals galore in Division A led by and incredible 9-6 win for Cheadle and Gatley at Prestwich Marauders.
The referee needed a sharp pencil to note all the scorers in this high-scoring encounter, Marauders scoring through Abdu AHMED, Preston ASHTON, Liam DE MASCIA, James WOOD (2) and David KERRIGAN, with the visitor's Daniel FORRESTER leading the way with five goals, taking his tally to twenty-two, with Ben FLETCHER and Finn SHORT grabbing two goals each.
Not far behind were Silver Birch who kept up their hot run of form with 9-3 demolition of AFC Stockport Titans, Jack PETERS led the way with a hat-trick, Jack FALLON netted twice with Matt McCORMACK, Harry BLADES, George TIERNEY and Luke GRIFFITHS on target.
This thumping win takes Birch to seven games without loss.
In Division B Stoconians Reserves maintained their lead at the top to 11 points with a clinical 4-0 win at Saddleworth 3D Reserves thanks to a hat-trick by the league’s top scorers Matt THEAKER, and George DARBYSHIRE’s strike.
Matt now has THIRTY-SIX goals to his credit this season, a remarkable strike-rate.
Waterhead Reserves stay second after defeating Santos U23 by the odd goal in five, goals from Reece THOMPSON, Jack WINDLE and Jake ADAMSON enough with Harrison FULTON finding consolation with a brace of goals for Santos.
The scores were level at the interval after two Waterhead goals were cancelled out by a Harrison FULTON brace. The match was settled by the hosts who scored a second half winner.
The other game in the division was a mid-table contest with AFC Oldham A winning 4-2 over Didsbury Thirds.
